Services
Whatever it is, bring it in
Home machines and business fleets, five-year-old laptops and brand-new builds. Below is the everyday work — and if your problem is not on the list, call anyway. It usually is not the strangest thing we have seen that week.
Repair & tune-ups
Slow startups, blue screens, mystery noises, machines that were fine yesterday. We diagnose before we prescribe, explain the options in plain language, and fix what actually needs fixing — hardware or software. If a machine is not worth repairing, we will say so.
New systems & upgrades
As an authorized dealer for major manufacturers, we help you choose a desktop, laptop, or server that fits how you actually work — then build it out, move your files over, and set it up at your home or office. Often a well-chosen upgrade beats a new machine, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Wi-Fi & networking
New internet service installed and configured, routers that reach the whole house, office networks with printers and shared drives that behave. If the connection drops every afternoon for no reason, that is exactly the kind of thing we are good at.
Security & cleanup
Viruses, spyware, ransomware scares, and the pop-up that will not go away — removed, and real protection put in place. We will also walk you through what happened, so the next scam email looks like one.
Backup & data recovery
A backup you never think about is the cheapest insurance a computer owner can buy — we set them up so they just run. And when a drive dies without one, we recover what can be recovered, honestly and carefully.
Small-business support
For Louisville businesses that need computers to just work: workstations, servers, printers, point-of-sale machines, and the network behind them — maintained by a shop that has supported local businesses since 1985, without the contract lock-in.
Worth knowing
Anything you buy through us comes with free telephone support for as long as you own it. Ask the chain stores to match that.
Free advice
Habits that prevent most of our repair work
We have been giving this advice since 1985, and it has outlived every generation of hardware:
- Plug the computer into a surge protector, and shut it down during storms.
- Keep security software running and let your system install its updates.
- Use passwords nobody could guess, and keep them somewhere safe that is not a sticky note on the monitor.
- Back up the files you cannot replace — automatically, not when you remember.
- Deal with small problems while they are small. A strange noise today is a dead drive next month.
Computer trouble? Talk to a person.
No ticket queues and no hold music — call and describe the problem, and we will tell you honestly what it needs.
